Karol Kares Nancy’s Here is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a charitable mission to serve the community by providing resources to college students who may be experiencing economic challenges.
7 out of 10 students are affected by the stress of trying to pay for a challenge and keep up with their monthly expenses. 1 in 4 children are being raised in a single parented home, and nearly half are living below the poverty line. Your assistance will help tremendously in bettering not only the lives of our younger generation but the future that they will one day shape.
We are asking for your support to help make a difference in someone else's life.
Our efforts are focused on the following:
personal hygiene products, school supplies, and gift cards for groceries.
One day my oldest daughter Ashley and I were at a shopping center in Ontario. Ashley was 13 at the time. There was this little girl about 10 years old who picked up a pair of shoes and said, “If I had these shoes, I’d look so pretty when I go to school”. The little girl had holes in her shoes and my daughter said, “Mommy, I wish we had the money to buy that girl some new shoes and clothes. When I get older I’m going to help people.” The words of that little girl has been stuck on my heart forever and the selflessness of my own children to give back has driven me to found Karol Kares Nancy’s Here, along with my business partner, Nancy. Our mission is to provide resources to college students who may be experiencing economic challenge. I started Karol Kares Nancy’s Here in 2015.
When it was my time to send my children to college, I, too struggled to provide my kids with the basic school supplies and personal hygiene products needed monthly. My son, Edem had been sharing his things with other students in his dorm because they, too, were struggling with having enough money for monthly expenses. From this point on, I knew that I wanted to help not only my community, but other communities around the country.
My vision for Karol Kares Nancy’s Here is to capture the attention of the nation to care for those that are in need from the youth to the elderly by giving a caring heart and a helping hand. This is a vision that God has given me. My job is to get out here and do the footwork for those who are struggling.
